MedHQ hosted the Heart of the Business Conference that centralized around developing and implementing personal and organizational wellness.
The conference featured multiple speakers including an opening address from Brian Shields from the American Heart Association (AHA). Shields discussed health and wellness initiatives including the importance of developing healthy eating habits, and how our choices affect our body and mind.
As the Keynote speaker, Dr. Judith Wright, Co-founder of the Wright Foundation, discussed the importance of emotional intelligence (EQ), and how companies benefit from employees who understand how to effectively use their emotions.
“I am proud of the success of the inaugural Heart of the Business Conference, and how the MedHQ team came together to support the American Heart Association,” said Tom Jacobs MedHQ CEO.
In alignment with hosting the conference, MedHQ also participated in all three American Heart Association Metro Chicago Heart Walks for the second year in a row, surpassing the amount raised from last year.
“This has been an amazing experience. With our new initiatives this year from the conference and fundraising efforts we raised well in excess of $45,000,” says MedHQ COO, Rita Hernandez-Figi. “A huge thank you to our sponsors, conference attendees and anyone who donated to our team.”
