CHICAGO – June 1, 2023 – MedHQ, a leading provider of technology-enabled expert services including human resources, staffing, and financial management to outpatient healthcare providers across the country, announces its Heart of the Business commitment for 2023.
Launched in 2019, the Heart of the Business program is an on-going program focusing on the importance of wellness in all aspects of personal and professional life. The program includes rich content and presentations on the importance of mental and physical health in your business, as well as coaching and enhancing employee engagement. This program is an extension of the MedHQ team’s participation in the American Heart Association Heart Walk.
Spending seven years as a member of the American Heart Association Chicago Metro Board of Directors and serving on many National Committees, MedHQ’s Chief Operating Officer, Rita Hernandez Figi is directing the planning and execution of the program.
“Mental and physical health are equally important components of overall health and wellbeing,” notes Hernandez Figi. “We know that depression increases the risk for many types of physical health problems, particularly long-lasting conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. We have strategies and tactics that can help, and we are excited about making those available to our clients,” says Figi.
Through the on-going program, business leaders will learn insights on how to incorporate health initiatives into their own workplace and receive tools that will help them positively impact their bottom line.

In conjunction with the Heart of the Business program, MedHQ is participating in The American Heart Association Chicago Heart Walk in September and invites clients, partners, and the community to join them on the walk.
