This September, MedHQ is hosting the first Heart of the Business Conference, which will focus on how personal health influences professional well-being. The event will be held on Thursday, September 19 at mHub in Chicago, the day before the MedHQ team participates in the American Heart Association Heart Walk. MedHQ set a goal of raising $100,000 for the AHA and invites all conference participants to join the team for the walk.
The Heart of the Business Conference will feature presentations that emphasize the importance of mental and physical health in organizations, covering topics including company-wide wellness initiatives and employee engagement through positive psychology.
The conference’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Judith Wright, a bestselling author, coach, and corporate consultant, and co-founder of the nonprofit, the Wright Foundation for the Realization of Human Potential. Dr. Wright’s presentation, Boost Your Emotional Intelligence, will center on two main areas: employee wellness and organizational wellness.
In her work, Dr. Judith Wright stresses that emotional intelligence (EQ) is essential to both leadership and professional success. She ties EQ to leaders’ ability to connect with others, build trust, inspire good work, and move toward shared goals.
